Hello everyone, sorry for being away a few days there, just enjoying the sunshine too much to do any baking at all. But it's another week now and baking must be done. This week I've been asked to make a Wedding cake for a friends' friend. It's a second wedding so nothing elaborate just a lovely simple but effective black and white theme. The cake itself will be a chocolate biscuit cake with a few maltesers thrown in for extra crunch and this, when set, will be covered in snow white fondant. There will be a black and a white ribbon around the cake with a lovely big bow, I'll need my sister Linda for that, she always does the best bows! Now the top of the cake will have a drumset on top as the husband to be is a pretty decent drummer and then I'll scatter a few hand painted muscial notes here and there and that's it!
So far I've bought the ingredients, ribbons, fondant and yesterday evening I began the drum set. Tricky enough to do but hopefully once it's all brought together it'll look good enough for the cake,fingers crossed!!
